Secondary Italian Teacher

This temporary position covering leave will ideally start Term 4 2024, otherwise January 2025.
Full Time or Part Time negotiable ranging from 0.6 - 1.0 FTE

Your role is to plan, organise and deliver educational programs, modelled within the Catholic Ethos, in a positive learning environment.

As a minimum relevant qualifications, either:

  • Under graduate degree in a specific discipline with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary), or
  • Bachelor of Education
  • Previous experience teaching Italian in secondary schools, up to ATAR level is desirable but not essential
  • The ability to teach in another learning area is essential for those seeking a full time position
  • Willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community
  • Current Teachers Registration
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A valid National Police History Check

  • Has a passion for teaching Italian and sharing that passion with students
  • Has the ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Is competent with the use of technology in the classroom, online strategies and digital process software
  • Has demonstrated competence in adopting a range of strategies with students that enables them to grow and flourish
