Teacher Librarian (K-12)

St Mary MacKillop College is committed to providing quality K-12 Catholic education in the South West region. We are a supportive, caring community with modern facilities designed to engage students and bring learning to life.

A newly created role has come about due to the amalgamation of the Primary and Secondary schools in 2016 and the need for a Teacher Librarian to lead and develop digital citizenship and the love of literature and reading across both Primary and Secondary libraries.

Commencing in January 2018 this is a Full Time ongoing position

The successful applicant will have:

  • Graduate or Post graduate qualification in Teacher Librarianship
  • Eligibility for membership of ALIA and ASLA
  • Willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community
  • Current Teachers Registration
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A valid Crim Check

We are seeking someone with:

  • A proven track record as a Teacher Librarian
  • Knowledge of and experience with the use of digital information and learning technologies
  • Demonstrated highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate as part of a team
