Scholarships & Bursaries
At St Mary MacKillop College, we provide an exceptional Catholic education from Three-Year-Old Kindergarten to Year 12, serving families throughout the Capes region.
Our College offers a unique balance that extends beyond the experience of stand-alone primary or secondary schools. Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are available for students entering Year 9 and Year 11 in 2027.
These scholarships recognise students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability together with a strong commitment to learning and active participation in College life.
Scholarships cover tuition fees only and do not include books, stationery, uniforms, levies, laptops or discretionary charges including camps and interstate or overseas excursions.
Expectations
Scholarship recipients are expected to:
- Maintain high academic standards
- Demonstrate exemplary behaviour
- Contribute positively to College life
- Uphold the St Mary MacKillop College Student Code of Conduct
Successful applicants will receive:
- Full tuition fee scholarship
- Renewable annually, subject to continued academic excellence
- Opportunity to flourish within a supportive Catholic learning community
Selection Process
Academic Scholarships are awarded based on:
- Information provided in the scholarship application
- Results of the Academic Scholarship Examination
Scholarship Examination
Date: Friday 18 September 2026
- Shortlisted applicants may be invited to an interview with the Principal.
- The Principal's decision regarding scholarship offers is final.
First Nations Scholarships
Applications are invited from First Nations families who would like their children to receive a Catholic secondary education. Bursaries will cover the majority of the annual fees, leaving a small balance to be paid. The bursaries are intended to recognise commitment to schooling as well as assist First Nations students who might be denied a Catholic secondary education because of financial circumstances.
Applicants must be First Nations and have a desire to be educated in the Catholic education system. It is expected that applicants have established strong foundation for learning and aspire to complete Year 12.
