On Friday 11 November, the Primary campus gathered together to commemorate Remembrance Day. Our Primary Leaders and House Captains led us in prayer as we took the opportunity to remember those who served Australia through the many conflicts that have occurred around the world.
Each class had made poppies, which were on display during our prayer service. We then placed all the poppies in front of the College flags, where we stopped for one minute’s silence at 11am. We prayed for the men and women who showed courage in times of conflict and that we may strive to be peacemakers in our world.
The Primary campus also marked this day with a Mission Mart to raise funds for The Sisters of St Joseph Missions. Year 3 families contributed to a cake stall, while Year 6 students ran a number of fun activities and stalls during lunchtime. The day raised a total of $1613.55.
