At St Mary MacKillop College we encourage students to find a balance between academic, social, creative and sporting pursuits. Many of our students have been busy during the summer break in various sports, with some inspiring results:
- NETBALL – Year 11 student Riley Culnane was selected in the 17 and Under WA Netball Team, who will represent the state at the National Championships in Canberra this April.
- SWIMMING – Year 9 student Maddison Johnston-Walker competed at the State Championships in Perth, coming second in the Open Women’s 100m Butterfly, posting a personal best time and qualifying for the National Championships later this year.
- SURF LIFE SAVING – Year 9 student Hannah Greenfield represented WA in the National Surf Life Saving Championships in Maroochydore, Queensland last month. She reached the final in five events, finishing third in the board final.

Well done also to a number of our students who competed at the Surf Life Saving Country Championships in Albany recently, representing Busselton, Smith’s Beach or Dalyellup Beach.
We would love to hear about your sporting achievements throughout the year. Please email any details to our Sports Admin Assistant, Sandra Smith.
