The Perth Scorchers Bus visited the College last Wednesday to give students the opportunity to have a go at playing cricket.
Facilitated by the South West Cricket Development Office, the sessions gave students a chance to try out the sport, with the aim of promoting cricket to ages 7-12.
The activities continue the College’s primary sports program of refining fundamental movement skills to develop specific skills used in organized games such as cricket. Students in Year 5 and 6 will be given further opportunity to develop these skills into next term, culminating in a T20 cricket carnival.
The bus also stayed after school and shared this opportunity to trial the sport with other students and parents.
