Primary Teacher (Early Childhood Education)

This is a temporary, part-time position (0.2 FTE) for Semester 2, 2026, teaching a Pre-Kindy class on Thursdays.

A St Mary MacKillop College teacher encourages each student to discover and develop their interests and talents in order to become the best they can be. Providing innovative and best practice teaching, students will grow and develop lifelong learning attributes.

Reporting to the Head of Primary the role of a St Mary MacKillop College teacher is to plan, organise and deliver educational programs, modelled within the Catholic Ethos, in a positive learning environment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community.
  • A relevant 4 year Teaching qualification in Primary Education (Early Childhood Education).
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or working towards).
  • A deep understanding of the Western Australian curriculum.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards.
  • Current Teachers Registration and Working with Children Check
  • A valid National Police Criminal History Check

  • Has proven experience teaching using Explicit Instruction pedagogy
