More than 300 students from Years 7-12 participated in the InterHouse Cross Country event on Wednesday, running the 3km or 4km track around the oval and paths surrounding the College.
The mild weather was kind to competitors, who earned points for their House and a chance to represent the College in the ACC Cross Country races in Perth next term. A mass start for the girls 3km course and the boys 4km course saw them complete a lap of the ovals before taking the bike track behind the College, circling around the church and then across the front of the College to head back towards the oval via the central quad.
Year 10 student Lucy Hill was the first girl across the line, followed by Lily Regan, Ashlee Jarvis and Amber Conlon, all from Year 9. Year 11 Beau Haynes took line honours for the boys, with Year 10 Cody Wilkinson and Craig Harris from Year 9 rounding out the top three.
The top six finishers from each age group and gender will represent the College on the ACC Cross Country course at Perry Lakes in Perth at the end of May.
