Year 11 student Ross Rann competed in a team of four in the Rottnest Swim recently. They were the fourth team out of the water, finishing in just over five hours.
Ross then joined many of our other swimmers in the pool, representing Bunbury and Busselton Swimming Clubs, at the Country Pennants in Kalgoorlie over the long weekend. Ross took home gold medals in both the U16 and Open 100m backstroke, silver in the 100m Open freestyle and bronze in the U16 100m freestyle, as well as a gold and bronze in the U16 relays.
Year 7 student Ethan Lauro also won silver in the U12 butterfly as well as bronze medals in backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle and three silvers in the mixed relays. Year 11 student Isabel Norris took home three bronze medals for the 100m breaststroke, 100m butterfly and U16 freestyle relay.
Year 9 student Maddison Johnston-Walker won gold and broke divisional records in all four of her individual events, including U15 and Open 50m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 50m freestyle, and took home four silvers in the relays.
Bunbury Swimming Club were A Division Pennant Winners.
