2017 Graduate Results – ATAR achievements

The College congratulates our 2017 graduates who achieved excellent ATAR results. Riorden O’Shea was our highest performing student with an ATAR of 98.6, with nine students in total achieving an ATAR above 90:

Riorden O’Shea
Frances Venecourt
Lewis Nicholson
Rohit Wagh
Leyla Allerton
Thomas Gunda
Locklan Lee-Perkin
Tatiana Swan
Nikki Newbon

Riorden, Frances, Lewis, Leyla and Tom also received a SCSA Certificate of Distinction for their coursework over two years, and eleven other students received Certificates of Merit. The College was named one of the highest performing schools in 2017 for Visual Art.

Not all results were great, however, and the College is concerned with students persisting with ATAR courses beyond their abilities, despite counselling advice and alternative options being available. This reinforces the importance of constantly reviewing results and discussing with our Head of Senior School the range of pathway choices available for students to gain entry into tertiary studies.

We are pleased to see our students that were offered a place at public university remains consistent at 91%, despite the drop in our overall school rankings on ATAR-based league tables. In addition, six of our students also received an early offer from Notre Dame University, with two of those places earned through the completion of a Certificate IV in Nursing.

Lachlan Armstrong received an Award of Excellence in VET for Manufacturing Industries Studies, and 100% of our 45 VET students completed a Certificate II or higher, with five students achieving a Certificate IV. More information about our VET achievement and courses can be found here
