We welcome several new staff across the College this year.
Jo Hart, who has been working with our Learning Support Team in K-4 since last year, joins our Leadership team this year as Early Years Coordinator. Together with her extensive experience in Learning Support, Jo has an extensive specialist background in Early Childhood Education, and is currently the Principal Consultant in Early Years Education for the Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCASA). She is passionate about driving student improvement through the professional development of teachers, particularly in Early Years Mathematics.
Also on the Primary campus, Lauren Heitman returns from extended leave to teach in Year 3, Michaela Sawle joins us as a graduate teacher in Year 5 and Cassandra Harslett fills in for Louise Leyden in Year 6 while she is on secondment in the Kimberley. Our Teacher Assistants for this year include Caroline Scott, Kylie Rann, Regina Scott and Regina Vock. Michelle Reid also joins the Learning Support team, working across the College.
New secondary teachers include Heather Mead (Head of Year 8) and Sophie Lester in English, Catherine Williams in Religious Education, Kirsteen Bates in Maths and Jane Yates in Italian.
In support staff, Amy Hammond is our new Sports Admin Assistant and Elisa Campbell joins the Canteen, while two recent graduates take on trainee positions: Cameron Best joins our grounds staff and MacKillop graduate Ross Rann will look after the technical side of our events this year.
