Year 6 students completed their preparation for Confirmation last Friday with a Retreat Day at the OLB Community Hall. Students together explored the symbols and meaning behind the oil, flame and dove in the sacrament of Confirmation, and created prayer rocks following a discussion about the gifts and fruits of the Spirit.
The Bishop also visited the College and spent some time talking to the candidates about what Confirmation means to them.
On Sunday morning, 59 students were presented to the Bishop by their sponsors to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Lady of the Bay Church. They were welcomed into the community as mature members of the church, and celebrated with a cake and delicious morning tea.
