Casual Bus Driver

• Busiest months - May, June, August and September

We’re seeking a reliable and friendly Casual School Bus Driver to support our school with transport for excursions, swimming lessons, sporting events, camps, and other daytime activities. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys flexible work, values safety, and thrives in a school community environment.
To give some indication, in 2025 our Bus Driver worked approximately 385 hours, with May, June, August and September being the busiest months.

The successful applicant will have:

• A strong commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
• A friendly, patient, and professional manner.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
• Confidence managing groups of children and maintaining appropriate behaviour on board.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

We are seeking someone that:

• Is willing to uphold the ethos of Catholic education.
• Holds a current manual Bus Licence (MR or HR).
• Has a valid Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
• Has a Police Clearance (or willing to obtain).
• Is willing to undergo a medical assessment.
• Holds a current First Aid Certificate (or is willing to complete the training).
• Has a clean driving records and demonstrates safe driving history.
• Is available during school terms, with varied hour.
• Has previous experience driving school buses or working with children is desirable.
• Has familiarity with local excursion venues and sporting/swimming facilities is desirable.
