Acclaimed WA actress Emma Booth followed up her red carpet appearance at the Logies by visiting South West schools last week, and took the time on Wednesday to meet with our Senior students in the gymnasium’s new drama studio.
Emma, who is known for her roles in Underbelly, Glitch, Tim Winton’s Cloudstreet, and Hollywood blockbuster Gods & Egypt, spoke about the distinction of screen acting from theatre. Among a number of interesting anecdotes, she also shared her tips and techniques for managing emotions as well as getting in and out of character.
“There are so many filming projects planned in this region that are looking for young local actors,” said Emma, who will be holding classes with Acting Up in Busselton shortly and has offered her help to locals hoping to break into screen acting.
