ACC Girls Hockey Challenge in Bunbury

ACC Girls Hockey Challenge in Bunbury

The Year 10 Girls Hockey team made it into the grand final of the ACC Hockey Challenge in Bunbury on Thursday 23 June.

After losing the first game 3-0 to Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School on grass, we played our second game on turf against Frederick Irwin Catholic College from Mandurah. In an outstanding display of communication and passing, we won the game 3-0.

With our confidence high and more great game skills on the turf, we had another 3-0 win against Bunbury Catholic College in the third game, taking us into a tough grand final against Bunbury Cathedral Grammar.

We played a fantastic team game on turf, keeping it scoreless until the last six minutes when we went down 0-2.

Best players on the day were Ella Lowe, Ella du Preez and Scout Regan. Honourable mentions also go to Issy Brookes, Jasmine Wallace and Grace Myburgh, but overall it was a fantastic team effort. Our team had never played together and most players did not know each other, so to make the grand final was an amazing effort. Well done girls!
