‘Eagles Rock My School’ visit

Last Friday Rick the Rock and the West Coast Eagles Community & Education Team visited the Primary campus to speak to the students as part of the ‘Eagles Rock My School’ program. Rick and James entertained the children and shared examples of staying healthy and showing resilience in difficult situations.

Mrs Wallace’s Year 5 class then enjoyed a football clinic with James, where they participated in team building exercises, while our Primary Leaders and House Captains talked about leadership skills and what makes a great leader with Joe, who explained how they choose leaders at the West Coast Eagles. The Year 6 students participated in a game of ‘verbal volley ball’, teaching them handy skills for speaking under pressure.

All the children had a wonderful time listening and learning and were grateful for this incursion.
