Year 1 students visited the Butter Factory and Busselton Jetty as part of their studies in History and Art.
This semester in History, Year 1 classes have been learning about family trees, and have explored growing and changing over time by making comparisons from the past to the present. The students enjoyed a guided tour of the Busselton Museum, which gives them a hands-on experience of the past, including some of the things that have changed over time in our homes, schools and the Busselton community.
They then headed to the Busselton Jetty and foreshore to look at art in the community, and completed a sketch of our most iconic landmark. This sketch will contribute to an art project they will work on later this term.
The Year 1 students finished the day with a sausage sizzle lunch as well as an ice cream on the foreshore before returning to school.
