St Joseph’s Wyndham grateful for library donations

Staff and students of St Joseph’s Wyndham were very grateful for the donation of books and headphones from our Annual Book Fair, presented at the school's assembly at the end of last term.

"I wish I could have captured the excitement and joy on the faces of the students" said Peta Somma, who visited the school with her daughter Gabriella while on leave, and presented the donations at the assembly. Gabriella, a MacKillop graduate and teacher at the school, said the books will be a great stimulation and inspire the students to start using the library more.
Mrs Somma also spent time teaching staff how to use the electronic library borrowing system, and helped them to get the new books onto the system.

At the assembly Mrs Somma was presented with a cross painted by Aboriginal Teacher Assistant, Sally, as a token of their appreciation. The cross is in the library if you would like to see it.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Book Fair by donating either books or money to St Joseph’s Wyndham.
