BMXWA State Championship in Perth

Braiden Abrahamse took part in the BMXWA annual State Championship in Perth on Saturday 8 October 2017, with a total of 523 male and female riders competing in age classes ranging from 8 years to 50+.

Braiden competed in the 12 Boys class, where he was ranked third in WA going into the competition. There were a total of 34 boys entered that ranked top in the State, including two current National Title holders.

Despite coming down with the flu a few days before racing, Braiden finished top eight in the four moto races, progressing with the top 20 into the quarter finals before finishing third in his semi-final to progress to the final where he qualified for a State Title.

Braiden’s achievements on the day earned him a spot in the upcoming National Championship to be held in Bunbury early next year, where he will compete for a national title on home soil.
