Eagles players Jetta, Sheed visit the College

Students had the opportunity to meet and ask questions when West Coast Eagles players Lewis Jetta and Dom Sheed, as well as Eagles Assistant coach and former Brownlow medallist Sam Mitchell, visited the College on Tuesday 13 February.

Former teacher, Eagles recruiter and game development coordinator, Kim Hannah, entertained the children and shared examples of staying healthy and showing resilience in difficult situations.
Students got a chance to ask questions, and discovered how long they have been playing and how much training they do in a week. Kim, Lewis, Sam and Dom then went to visit the secondary campus, and spent time talking to Year 8, 9 and 11 students about preparation and training, as well as how they came from country areas to find success in their chosen careers.

Everyone was excited to see these athletes in person that appear regularly on TV, and the players were only too happy to chat with the students afterwards and sign autographs. We wished them every success for this year’s football season.
