It was a fairytale themed start to 2018 for our Senior students, as they stepped onto the red carpet at the St Mary MacKillop College Year 12 Ball.
The Black Brewing Co in Wilyabrup was a magical setting for the evening, and the students were all suitably ‘spruced up’ for the occasion. ‘Best Dressed to Theme’ went to Head Girl Lily Trovato, whose gown looked fit for a princess. Nathan Daly was looking dapper in a stylish blue-on-black arrangement, his grooming efforts earning him the coveted Beau of the Ball.
But it was Annie Creek, in a sparkling white dress, who was eventually named Belle of the Ball. “We had a very difficult choice”, said Head of Year 12 Ms Morgan Stark. “Everyone looked amazing!”
Other awards given out on the night included the ‘Cutest Couple’ to Kian Fancote and Miller Buttsworth, while Best Dancer was presented to Dante Gherardi.
Students, staff and guests enjoyed a delicious three course menu this year, including Pork Belly, Chicken with Mushrooms and Pavlova. Between the meal, the photos and a cooling breeze off the deck, students also managed to get onto the dancefloor throughout the night – as did some staff.
