A post-exams treat for Year 10s

Year 10 students who finished their exams on Friday were treated to a delicious Mars Bar slice, made for them by their peers.

Students found a recipe that was designed to feed twelve, and recalculated it to make enough for the 150 Year 10 students who were sitting in exams each morning last week. The group also shopped for ingredients, including 39 Mars Bars, and completed the kitchen activity in time to hand out to students as they came out of their last exam on Friday.

“I was extremely proud of the students,” said Education Support teacher, Marg Skinner, who said the kids (Tom, Max, Marisa, Tahlia, Phoebe and Brielle) were pleased to present this congratulatory gift to their classmates after a tough week. “And there was just enough left over for the homeroom teachers!”
