AFL coaching clinic for Year 7 students

South West Football Development Officers Glenn Omodei and Nathan Douch treated Year 7 students to an AFL coaching clinic this week, enjoying favourable weather conditions that enabled them to get out onto the oval and have a go.

Students participated in a wide range of AFL related skills stations, rotating between them to build their knowledge and experience of the various components of the game: including kicking, handballing and goals, as well as evasion and tackling skills.

Head of Physical Education, Mr Paul Culnane, thanked both the South West and West Australian Football Commissions and their sponsors, for providing access to experienced coaching staff and for the opportunity to promote AFL to the students. “It also gave our staff the chance to participate and build on their cache of enjoyable activities for AFL skills development,” he said.
