On Friday 13 September our selected Year 6 girls and boys basketball teams competed in the Slam Series Basketball Carnival, which was held at the Geographe Leisure Centre in Busselton.
A new regional carnival this year, MacKillop played extremely well against Bunbury Baptist College and GMAS. Both boys and girls improved in teamwork throughout the day, playing in the spirit of the game and displaying fantastic sportsmanship.
Both MacKillop teams also enjoyed convincing wins for most of the day, advancing to the Grand Final where they went down to the A Team from GMAS.
Sports Teacher, Mrs Camilla Culnane, said the Year 11 coaches did a great job and were “fantastic leaders for the students all day”: Imogen Milner, Isabella McNab, Ryan Granville and Charles Reyes. Also, a massive thanks to Amy Hammond who organized the day.
