St Mary MacKillop College 1st XI played commendably in this year’s Kim Hughes Shield South West competition, defeating Bunbury Senior High School and Manea, but struggling against Dalyellup and Bunbury Catholic College in the middle rounds.
Fraser Oates was one of our standout performers, scoring 202 runs across four innings, with a highest score of 75 not out. Liam Dallimore proved an essential all-rounder, handy with the bat as well as taking six wickets, and earned himself a spot on the ACC All Stars Cricket team.
A highlight of the season was Rueben Thew’s tidy 3/3 off only two overs in the first round, helping to topple BSHS for only 63 runs.
Well done to all the boys who wore the new St Mary MacKillop College ‘baggy maroon’ with pride, sportsmanship and endeavour.
