On Thursday our Primary Cross Country stars travelled to Bunbury to compete in the SWSPA Cross Country Carnival at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School. The students had been attending before school training sessions for five weeks leading up to the day, with many continuing through the holiday break.
All runners put in an impressive effort and showed great sportsmanship, cheering on SMMC as well as all competitors.
Congratulations to the following students who placed in the top ten for their year group:
- Thomas Toohey (Year 6) - 10th
- Eliza Fuller (Year 5) - 5th
- Deegan Bruce (Year 4) - 9th
- Maclaine Franklin (Year 4) - 8th
- Bray Tucker (Year 3) - 2nd
- Dash Bridgham (Year 3) - 5th
