Three St Mary MacKillop College students were recently selected for the Associated and Catholic Colleges (ACC) Basketball Team in the 2016 All Stars match against the combined government schools team, to be held in Perth next month.
Year 11 student Travis Vogel was named in the team of ten boys from private schools around the state, while Demi Liddle from Year 11 and Beige Harris in Year 9 made it into the girls’ team. Selectors said the standard of players was very good, and all students should be commended for their efforts in putting themselves forward for selection.
The girls’ All Stars Basketball Match will be from 2pm, with the boys following from 4pm Sunday 16 October on the main court at the WA Basketball Stadium in Perry Lakes. The matches are always of a high standard, and school staff and students are encouraged to come along to support the team in what promises to be an enjoyable game to watch.
