Ride to work day

Ride to work day

Ride2Work Day Wednesday 12 October

More than fifteen St Mary MacKillop College staff took advantage of the lovely spring weather on Wednesday 12 October to participate in the annual Ride2Work Day. While a number of College staff members regularly cycle to work, others also rode in from as far afield as Port Geographe and Vasse to join in the event.

Ride2Work is part of a national behaviour change program within the workplace that promotes bike riding as a viable, healthy and environmentally sound means of commuting.  Having teachers involved also sets a good example for students to follow.

Mr James Depiazzi coordinated the College’s participation in this event, which is organised nationally through Bicycle Network. He thanks local businesses South West Cycles, Sportspower Busselton and Dymocks, who generously donated a range of products as incentives.
