On Monday and Tuesday the Scitech Roadshow visited the Secondary campus, engaging Year 7-9 students in a number of colourful and energetic presentations designed to stimulate interest in science. They explored some of the innovations that are opening up science career prospects across a range of industries.
Students appreciated the importance of ‘evaluating the facts’ when trying to make balanced decisions. They also listened to some of the presenters’ life experiences and career choices. The students found these stories interesting and came to appreciate the flexibility of the science workplace and the possibility of several changes over a person’s career in science.
