On Wednesday 14 June a team comprising of Year 9 and Year 10 boys competed in the ACC Schoolboys Cup at Hay Park in Bunbury. The annual football carnival saw our boys compete against teams from Bunbury Catholic College, Mandurah Baptist College, Mandurah Catholic College, and Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School.
The wet and windy conditions made every game a hard fought contest, but this did not dampen the boy’s spirits. They competed admirably for the duration of the carnival, winning two out the four games. Unfortunately, Bunbury Cathedral Grammar and Bunbury Catholic proved too strong for MacKillop on the day, with Bunbury Catholic College moving on to the final round in Perth.
The team conducted themselves commendably throughout the day. They played hard and fair, and represented the College to the highest degree. Stand out players on the day included Khye Baker, Nathan Bell, Connor Barrett-Lennard, and Josh Barr.
