Year 6 Camp @ Woodman Point

Year 6 Camp @ Woodman Point

Last term the Year 6 students spent their last week of school on camp at Woodman Point in Munster. They were kept entertained with all the fun activities in and around the campsite, including the rock-climbing wall, beach and orienteering. The children enjoyed all the activities provided, but the favourite for most was definitely the Flying Fox.

We thank Ms Louise Leyden and Mr Clint Fabre, along with our wonderful parent volunteers who came along and made this camp a success. We are sure that Mrs Collins, Mrs Passfield, Mrs Plester, Mr Rigoll, Mrs Roche and Mr Walker had a fantastic time as well.

Camp reflection – by Alice and Amber

  • How did you feel about the camp?

We felt very excited but also nervous to leave our homes and our families for four days. We were putting images of what we thought the camp would be like inside our heads. We couldn’t stop thinking about it.

  • What was challenging?

When we were doing archery it was raining and the wind was really strong so it was really hard. Another challenging thing was to jump off the top of the Cube on the flying fox. There were centipedes in the shower so everyone was scared to shower, but the parents made us.

  • How did you feel after the camp?

We wanted to go back because it was so fun. We wanted to go back and do all the activities again. We were also happy to go home and see our families.
