Last Friday’s Assembly was co-ordinated by Mr Thomson’s Year 3 class, who have been looking at our College value of Inclusion. They have been listening to ‘dreamtime’ stories as they learn about Aboriginal culture in their recent History lessons. Students showed some of their own versions of traditional dot paintings by various Indigenous artists.

The students also presented their knowledge of the Busselton Jetty, and gave many interesting facts about the history of our city’s most notable icon to a backdrop of bright and colourful jetty paintings the students have created.

The class concluded their assembly by singing ‘Welcome to All People’ by Ruby Hunter. This beautiful song was accompanied by photo examples taken by the class to represent the idea of inclusion.

We introduced our Head of Primary, Mrs Jo Paini, who thanked everyone for the warm welcome she has received in her first week.
