Hospitality students host parishioners for a high tea

Year 12 Hospitality students invited members of the parish and community to attend a lavish morning tea at the end of August as part of their formal assessment by Hospitality Group Training to achieve their Certificate II in Hospitality.

The students prepared delicate sweet and savoury bites in a well-presented menu that ranged from mini quiches and sandwiches to strawberry macaroons. They also served freshly brewed coffee and teas to their 40 guests, who were seated at tables in the gymnasium foyer.

Students catered for and demonstrated the competency of “Use Hospitality skills effectively" in front of an external assessor. All students passed successfully, impressing the assessor with their skills, efficiency and teamwork.
