On behalf of the P&F Executive, I would like to thank our wonderful community of parents, staff and students who have attended and/or helped out at our events this Term.
Friday 10 March saw the St Mary MacKillop College community come together once again for our annual Welcome Sundowner. The evening was a huge success with hundreds of families in attendance. I would like to thank all the businesses that assisted to make the evening such a success: Xtreme Bounce Party Hire, Flossy Girl, Kate at Yahava Koffee, The Mates Op Shop, Climb-tastic, APEX, Geo Bay Butchers, Central Bakery, Woolworths Duchess St, DBC and Kent Street Bakery. Thank you to our wonderful parent helpers, Service Learning students, teachers, Admin staff and grounds staff who all contributed in some way to the evening. A special thanks to Kathy Jackson and the music students for their amazing performances.
The Sundowner also gave us an opportunity to launch the new Primary Campus playground equipment made possible by funds raised by the P&F. It is always very rewarding to see your hard work translate into new equipment or resources for our children, so thanks to everyone for your support.
The P&F have also been busily collecting your donated Easter Eggs. Some of them will go towards the Easter Raffles drawn at the end of this week. Thanks to your generous donations, the College will also donate over 16 baskets to St Vincent de Paul who will deliver them to families in need over this Easter period.
Our wine sales have continued to tick along nicely. The MacKillop 2011 Shiraz, produced by Pierro winery is reaching an ideal age for drinking and recommend you stock up for the school holidays. Available at Central Admin or download an Order Form from the College website. Alternatively pop out to Pierro Winery in the holidays where you can purchase the MacKillop labelled Shiraz directly from the cellar door.
The P&F meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at Central Administration in the Multi-Purpose Room. We would love to see you come to a meeting when you can to contribute your ideas. Head to the Parents & Friends Page of the website for more information.
