After a period of just six weeks on the Accelerated Reading program, we have already seen outstanding results with the majority of students on the program increasing their reading level.
Accelerated Reading (AR) is an online reading program that was introduced to our Year 4-6 classrooms this year. The program meets children at their current reading level and pace. Each child has an individualized reading range and goal to work toward, with short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals along the way that help with motivation.
AR has already made a noticeable difference in how our students approach reading. It also helps our students focus on careful and critical reading of excellent children's literature.
