Year 10 students prepare for road responsibilities

On Friday 22 June our Year 10 students took part in the Keys for Life Program, which provided the students with opportunities to evaluate the responsibility that they accept when they become road users.

The students have spent a number of PCP sessions last term preparing to obtain their Learners Permit, with a view to eventually getting behind the wheel of a car. In partnership with the RAC, this Keys for Life day delivers sessions which focus on buying a car, how to remain safe when behind the wheel and the dangers of mixing alcohol, drugs and driving.

The students were fully engaged throughout the day and represented the College at very high level. Students who have fulfilled the requirements of the course will have a chance to sit their Learners Permit Test at the College during the final week of Term 3.

The RAC Rescue Helicopter also landed on the College oval for the day, enabling other students in the Secondary campus to also participate in a Virtual Reality helicopter experience.
