Kindy joins in Harmony day celebrations

On Tuesday 21 March we celebrated Harmony Day, which celebrates cultural diversity and inclusion: spreading the message that everyone belongs.

Mrs Harding’s Kindy class welcomed parents as guest speakers from Kenya, Zimbabwe, England and Vietnam, and enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to learn about the different cultures and traditions celebrated in our diverse community.

Students loved tasting the rice paper rolls and New Year’s Day sticky rice from Vietnam. They learned Kenyan greetings and sang a Zimbabwean celebratory song, and joined in discussions about the Queen of England and the London buses.

A special thank you to those who contributed on the day.
