Three of our Year 10 students are preparing for a pilgrimage experience next week ahead of their attendance at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Sydney.

Brendan Allan, Georgia Beattie and Annmarie Clifton-James, accompanied by Miss Jackson, will join delegates from other schools in the Bunbury Diocese and young people from all over Australia to experience a youth rally atmosphere in Sydney along the lines of World Youth Day.

The students also aim to enhance their experience of a pilgrim’s journey by travelling simply around the city by foot or public transport.

The Australian Catholic Youth Festival offers young people many opportunities to learn and grow in faith. The event involves music, drama and conference speakers as well as discussion groups, visits to holy shrines, activities and games.

Generous donations from the Busselton Catholic Parish and Busselton Lions Club, as well as the Catenians and St Vincent Pallotti group have made this unique opportunity possible. We wish these students a fantastic experience as they head off to the Youth Festival.
