Head Boy Lindsay Ward and Head Girl Katie Shepherd attended this year’s JJAMM Student Leadership Conference last month with Head of Ministry, Bernice Roche. They visited many areas around Sydney and Kincumber where Mary MacKillop worked, as well as viewing the impact of recent bushfires and floods in the region.
The Leadership Conference in Kincumber during the week enabled students to develop skills in proposing and getting support for projects and ideas they want to implement. They also shared and demonstrated a wealth of practical examples for activism and ritual ceremonies that students can organize at their schools.
Bernice said that the students were grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the conference, and they found it to be a personal growth experience.
